On Monday, October 6, the Fighting Irish struck through the Ellet Orangemen for the win. It was a meaningful night for the Irish as it was Senior Night. Before the match began Seniors Rylee Hoover, Ella Kim, Evelyn Sevald, Kerrigan Sivak, and Zoey Walters were all recognized for their dedication and commitment to the team over the years. It was a very joyous night for the girls, however they still had a job to do against Ellet. The Fighting Irish won the first set 25-19 with Evelyn Sevald leading the way with nine kills. In the second set the Fighting Irish won 25-13 with Rylee Hoover attributing eleven assists in the set. Unfortunately the Irish lost the third set 22-25 after a late comeback by the Orangemen. In the fourth set the Fighting Irish secured the win with a 25-7 win! Kerrigan Sivak finished the set with eight digs. Following the win the Fighting Irish now have a record of 10-9.

Cayden is a senior here at St. Vincent – St. Mary. It is his first year on staff for the Leprechaun Network. He enjoys the class because it gives him a way to connect with the rest of the world and stay informed about current events. Cayden plays soccer, football, and lacrosse for the Fighting Irish. Outside of STVM, Cayden enjoys lifting and video games as well as hanging out with friends, and plays soccer year round for a club soccer team. For entertainment, Cayden enjoys watching the NFL, College Football, Premier League Soccer, and MLS.
